The PPR have published their Business Plan for 2016/17

The Business Plan has been developed collaboratively by the efforts of the Board of Directors, the Register Regulatory Committee and the Independent Advisory Board.
It highlights the strategy of the PPR and its wider business and regulatory objectives.

The PPR has highlighted that it will focus on delivering a transparent and proportionate voluntary regulatory scheme for its members; promoting the Paralegal Profession as the Fourth Arm of the Legal Profession; increasing consumer protection in the unregulated market and increasing membership of the PPR.

Managing Director, Rita Leat said

“The Business Plan represents our vision for the future of Paralegal Practitioners within the legal framework and clearly outlines our aims and objectives for improving diversity within the sector. Consumer protection is of paramount importance in the delivery of legal services”.

This week the PPR appointed Rita Leat as Managing Director

Rita Leat

Rita’s legal career spans over twenty years and she brings over fifteen years’ prior experience in the Paralegal sector.

As a founding Director of the PPR she is well placed to take the company forwards to achieve its aims and objectives of establishing Paralegals as the fourth arm of the legal profession and to bring increased diversity to the sector.

Her passion for improving consumer choice and protection is well known and her drive to bring cost-effective legal services to those who need it is at the forefront of her thinking.

She has previously spent over two years with fellow Directors forming the company and, in that time, has been a major contributor to the development of the PPR. Rita will continue her role as the COO of NALP which enables her to remain connected to those training to become Professional Paralegals.
